  • 1.  The first Olympic Games were born in 776B.C in Greece. They were organized every four summers andlasted five days. Women were not allowed to participate,only men who spoke Greek could compete.

  • 8.  The first time that the Olympic Games were broadcast ontelevision was in 1936. In 1920, the oringinal Olympic flag was stolen by an americanathlete and it was returned after 80 years. The first official mascot of the Olympic Games was Waldi thedachshund. The Olympic Games opened doors for females in 1900; theparticipation of them was limited exclusively to golf and tennis. In 1916, 1940 and 1944 the modern Olympics were bannedbecause of military problems (First and Second world wars).
