    • Membership. Our most important priority is YOU! Social Media and therefore, SMC_SGF is first and foremost about engagement, connection, and community for you, the members
    • Community. We want SMC_SGF to be a valuable resource for the Springfield community. We also want to help elevate Springfield to be recognized regionally and nationally as a leader in the social media industry.
    • Business. We want to enable each of our members to be an advocate for social media in the business community … as employees, owners, consultants, or simply as a voice to a decision maker saying, "Hey, have you thought about ..."
  • 3.
    • President – Primary leader and driver of the plan and the team; Serves as liaison to National chapter and solicits sponsorships; Works with the community and businesses to integrate SMC_SGF efforts
    • Vice-President – Captures progress, supports all chairs, and responsible for all administrative items
    • Events - Plans and coordinates all events
  • 4.
    • Membership – Voice of the members, welcome team and creates member development opportunities
    • Communications – Prepares and delivers all organizational messaging; executes and manages online platforms
    • Chairpersons - Assists with specific areas within the organization
      • Events - Assists with special projects as needed
      • Topics - Suggests and solicits topics for meetings; works with president to develop meeting agenda
      • Students - Coordinates on-campus meetings and communications with student organizations

    • Launched chapter in August
    • Averaged attendance 10 members monthly
    • Making a difference in our community through education and nonprofit panels
    • Establishing presence
    • Sharing with others our mission

    • Diversity – Offer events to address a multitude of interests:
      • Social users
      • Practitioners
      • Business adoption
      • Technology trends
      • Newbies
      • Community concerns (safety, security, ethics, nonprofits)

    • Awareness – Increase social media and SMC_SGF understanding locally, regionally & nationally
      • Social Media Panels
      • Social Media and Club Awards
      • Leverage all online communication channels
      • Solidify formal sponsorships
      • Develop committees

      • Partner with local organizations to provide educational sessions
      • Professional speaking presentations
      • Discussion panels, debates, rigorous conversation to stretch us to new levels
