Update – What information do they need? Engage - How often to engage / comment / respond? Strategy - Amount of time to spend and how often?

  • 8. Set your Social Media goals Exercise 1: Write down a maximum of 3 goals you are aiming to achieve with your social media strategy
  • 9. Who do I Want to attract? Who Name, Industry, Role, Age, Gender, Interests, Education What What are their needs? What keeps this person awake? What stops their company growing? What wastes their time? What information do they need? Where – Who do they like/follow? Where are they based? Where do they look for a solution? What do they already know? Who influences them?
  • 10. Know your Audience Exercise 2: Think about your favourite customer or 2 or 3 of your top clients. In pairs, ask each other the questions to create a character of who you’ll be talking to.

  • 17. Who to follow? Exercise 4: The people and companies your businesses follow or the ones you need to get noticed by. If they share your content – your audience will see it. Write as many down as you can in 5 minutes.
  • 18. I don’t know what to post/tweet about! In pairs, write as many different topics that you think their customers would find useful, advice, tips, interesting facts, amusing, shareable, different media. 5 minutes to think of as many as possible for your partner’s business…
