    • There are lights and beautiful decorations in the shops and Christmas trees in the streets.
    • People buy and give presents, sing christmas carols and eat together.

    • Queen Victoria’s husband was German. He brought this tradition to England in the 19th century.
    • People decorate them with lights, baubles and tinsel .

    • It is celebrated on December 26th and it is a public holiday .
    • Traditionally it was the day when a box full of presents was open to share with the poor.
