    • Athens, Athena and the Olive Tree By the Greek team
      • We are in age of Greek Mythology…
      • The city of Athens is a new and unnamed city and her king is Kekrop.
      • Kekrop invites all gods to become patrons of the city.
      • Only two are interested…
      City
      • The goddess of wisdom, Athena and
      • The god of the sea, Poseidon
vs This is a really difficult situation for Kekrop! He can’t choose.
    • So he asks, from each god, to offer a gift to the people of the city. People would choose the most useful gift and accept the offerer as patron of the city. The two gods agree!
    • Gods and people are now gathered on the hill of Acropolis…
    • First Poseidon stracks the ground with his trident and here is a spring. Ooooh! What a nice present! But… the water is salty !!! This is a sign that the city will become the strongest city in the sea, says Poseidon.
    • Everybody turn to Athena . She offers the first domesticated olive tree .
      • The Athenians choose the olive tree and,
      • along with it, Athena as their patron,
      • because the olive tree provides them
      • wood, oil and food.
      • Since then the city is called " Αθήνα ”, Athens.
      • Athens is the main city of Greece and the Greek capital.
