Discern genetic basis of traits of interest

Identify genes or QTLs for traits of interest
Develop tomato breeding lines and cultivars using a combination of traditional and marker-assisted breeding

Goal 1 Identify Genetic Resources
Screened over 300 wild accessions of tomato and identified:
Sources of EB resistance
Sources of LB resistance
Sources of high fruit LYC content
Sources of tolerance to abiotic stresses (e.g. drought tolerance, salt tolerance, etc.)
Screening conducted under field, greenhouse, high tunnel and growth chamber conditions
