    • The population of Afghanistan before the war startedin October, 7 2001 was about 28 million people. There was a civil war in Afghanistan 1996 to 2001 .The population in 2010 is about 29 million but there is about 3 million Afghanistan refugees who are living outside of Afghanistan to escape the Civil War.Written ByLeyton Andrews
