Jack Vitual Reality - Presentation Transcript

  1. Next Generation with Lasting Effects?
    • By Cecy Bateman
    • Universal American School
    • Mr. Daniels Computer Class
    • Grade 9
  2. Jack the Terminator jumped into the air, spinning and twisting, flipping and flying. He felt his muscles flex and prepare for the hard collision against the bustling street below. His body straightened out and he argued with himself about which position would provide him with the safest landing on the hard, cold concrete.
  3. He landed hard, but felt adrenaline flowing from his hulking muscles to the marrow in his large, iron bones.
  4. Shifting his eyes down the street with his keen vision, he observed the markets, scanning their supplies into his memory (in case he needed any more food - which he didn't... his body produced its own). He rethought, and deleted the new memories. He knew that within 20 seconds, the memories would never be recallable again, but he didn't need these memories. He felt his body drain of them, like milk from a tall, steel container. Life
  5. He walked gracefully and a few women stopped and stared with their mouths agape. Jack sure did get attention.
  6. Bobby! Life
  7. Jack spun around, choosing his steps carefully. Who else would know his real name, but his arch-nemesis, Ax?
  8. No one around him looked the least bit bothered, or even suspicious. Was EVERYONE oblivious to the deep, strong voice, running through the cobblestone streets? BOBBY!!!
  9. Everything went black.
  10. Bobby, come for dinner! Bobby turned around quickly. His eyes were not adjusting, like they should. Light flashed into his eyes, and his big brother, Mark stood at his side.
  11. Bobby stood, and walked to the door, stumbling over clothes and remains of the day he had spent in front of his TV. As he walked through the dark hallway to the kitchen, he waited for the enemy to attack his vulnerable, muscle-less body. He ran the rest of the way.
  12. What kinds of effects will Virtual Reality have on the next generation?
  13. Are they safe living in a movie where they can erase memories, and therefore do anything they want? Will they believe they can have bones of steel and rippling muscles?
  14. Is Bobby safe in the real world ?
  15. Virtual Reality may soon consume the "hate-filled" world we live in.
  16. Think of how much it will increase... against others, against the users themselves, and against the good people in the world.
  17. Thank You!
