  • Who was Ferdinand Magellan?• Ferdinand Magellan was a famous Portuguese explorer who was born in 1480. He died in 1521.
  • Why is Ferdinand Magellan famous?• Although Magellan was killed on his last expedition it is generally accepted that he was the first explorer to circumnavigate the world.
