HCL created a Digital platform to map half a million electrical assets spread across 48,000 kms of electrical network. Under the initiative, six million consumers were migrated to the digital platform having functionalities such as Meter-to-Cash Cycle, New Connection & Disconnection processes, GIS Mapping, Meter Data Acquisition System and Customer Care System. DSI’s powerful analytical engine provided critical information about the variation in demand and load pattern, thereby helping the utility to take proactive actions and prevent network outage. HCL has also implemented extensive IT infrastructure connecting over 2000 Discom offices to the centralized Data Centre and Disaster recovery Centre through an MPLS network.
