I-264 BERKLEY BRIDGE
GRID DECK REPLACEMENT
April –June 2010
The Berkley Bridge Grid Deck Replacement project will replace four concrete filled sections
of the I-264 bridge over a six-week period beginning at the end of April. Each of the four
bridge deck section replacements require a weekend bridge closure to allow crews access
to the work site and for the concrete to set after the work is complete. Closures will begin on
Friday night at 8 p.m. and will be removed by Monday morning at 5 a.m. The Midtown
Tunnel is the suggested alternate route during the closures.

WESTBOUND DETOUR: EASTBOUND DETOUR:
The planned I-264 West closure will require traffic to The planned I-264 East closure will require all traffic

accessed. Downtown bound traffic will continue on I- prior to the junction with I-264 East. All traffic will exit
264 West past Exit 11A and must exit at City Hall at the East Berkley Avenue ramp and enter the I-264
Avenue (Exit 9) or Waterside Drive (Exit 10). East detour using the Campostella Bridge (Rte 460).
