The document discusses three ideas for mood boards aimed at different audiences. The first idea is for a children's poster. It recommends using bold, easy to read fonts in black or dark colors. Cartoon-like imagery should be bright, simple and fun to engage children. Vibrant primary colors will attract their attention. The second idea is for a charity logo featuring a surfboard with the name in a bold, soft font for memorability. The third idea is a poster on litter's effects on animals aimed at adults. It recommends a formal, thin font and darker, serious imagery and colors to convey the gravity of the issue.
2. For the font for my first idea, I want to use fonts
that are bold and that are going to be easy to
read with them being children. If the font is bold
it automatically because eye catching to the
children and they see it a lot easier and this will
draw them to the poster. Having the font quite
large too on the page will also make it really
bold and will help them read it. I also want the
font to look handwritten more than typed
because it then relates to the children a little
more and makes it a lot more easier for the
children and I think it’s a lot more child friendly
to them. I also want the colour of the font to be
black or a really bold but dark colour because if I
have a lighter colour it will be harder for them to
read so having a darker one will help it stand out
against the imagery.
3. For the imagery for my first idea, I want to use
images that are more like cartoons rather than
actual images of things. This shows a more
happier approach to the real life issues and isn’t
so serious as it might be for one that’s aimed at
an adult. It has more of a child friendly approach
to the issues and it makes it more interactive
and fun for them to read rather than using
serious and darker images. The imagery will be
bright and exciting and will be simple so that it is
easy for them to see and understand. I need to
remember throughout this idea that with it
being aimed at children the imagery needs to
make sense to them so they know the issues
and how to avoid them. Also by making the
imagery a little funnier rather than having a
serious side will make it more entertaining for
4. For the colour scheme of this idea, I want to be focusing on very
bright and bold colours rather than dark and muted colours. This
will then make it a lot more intriguing for the children because it
will be so bright for them and this will then help it stand out a lot
more when they see it. It also creates a less serious tone because
the images will be really colourful and bright rather than it being
darker toned as this would make the poster a lot more serious. The
main focus for the colours will be using primary colours because
this is something that you learn from when you are younger and
these are the main colours that they will be interested in seeing. I
wouldn’t just have primary colours I would also have other colours
within the range to have a variety of different colours. I just need to
make sure that they are bright and intriguing for the children so
that they are finding the poster interesting and fun. They need to
be able to interact with it and understand the impact of what is
going on and how we are all effecting climate change and I think
that using a fun and exciting theme for the poster will help achieve
5. The second idea I have is for my logo and how this is going to
be on most of my campaigns and merchandise. This is a big
part of the charity as it is what represents it and what
people will look for to recognise it. I was thinking about have
half a surfboard either stuck in the sand or the sea with the
charity’s name written across it. The surfboard will be white
and it will have a contrasting and bright colour to go with
the white for the writing or for the pattern on the surfboard.
I want the font to be bold and really soft too so that it stands
out on the surfboard and so it also stands out to the
audience so that they can see the writing and this will then
stick in their heads whenever they see the logo. I want it to
be memorable so that it becomes a well-known graphic for
the charity so then people will remember the charity too.

6. For the font for my third idea, I want to make it
more for adults and their style of writing as this
is who I’m aiming my poster at. With having a
more formal font rather than informal will show
the audience that it’s a more serious issue and
that the message being spread across is a formal
and serious issue. The writing won’t be as bold
and will be quite thin and this is because the
imagery will be speaking for itself rather than
using a lot of writing. This is because with the
imagery being really serious, the writing is only
there just to give the audience information and
a bit of a reference about the image. This then
will make it more powerful because they won’t
be too busy reading the poster to understand
what it going on so if it’s just a quick walk by
they will see the seriousness from the images.
7. For my third idea, the poster will be about litter
and how it effects animals and their habitats. I
want the poster to have more of a dark tone to
it just like the examples of their imagery here
because it’s aimed at an older audience so by
using darker imagery, it will show the
seriousness of the case to them. The colour
scheme will involve darker tones and more
darker colours rather than it being bold and
bright because I want it to show the seriousness
through the colours as well as the imagery.
Having images of animals dying or in
uncomfortable circumstances because of the
litter will also show the effect our litter on them
and how we are in the wrong. By making it
darker it makes it more appealing because
people will catch the serious side of the issue.
