Everybody’s nightmare

By: Galdino B.
Spiders and their name
• The spider’s scientifical name is
  “arachne”
• A Greek goddess named Arachne,
who had an amazing skill at weaving,
was turned into a spider by another
  goddess
• The word spider means “spinner” in
  German
Feeding time
• The eight legged creature first injects
venom into its prey when they
  capture it
• The venom either puts the prey to
  sleep or it kills it
• The venom turns the prey into liquid
and they devour it at that time or
save it as a snack for later
The process of its webs
• The arachne produces its web from
its body and stores it to its spinneret
  (located near their abdomen)
• When the mighty creature doesn’t
need few parts of its web it gobbles it
up, but it still gets stored in its
spinneret and is still allowed to be
  used
Wall climbers
• The creepy crawlers have tiny
little hairs on their feet called
  setules
• The setules have a very strong
  grip and force which allows
them to stay on their object
  that they want to climb
