Most climate changes happen when fossil
fuels are burned and sent to the
atmosphere. It can also be caused by
too much electricity being used and the
smoke coming from a car can effect
climate change as well! The earth uses
carbon dioxide (CO2) to trap heat.
Electricity, fossil fuels and cars also
produce CO2. This makes the earth
warmer and upsets the earth. It makes
floods, melts ice caps and causes big
problems. Even 1/3 of food is wasted in
the western world!!! The more CO2 one
produces is called a carbon footprint.
It’s easy to prevent climate change! Even if its just a
small thing, like turning off computers or lights, it
could make a very big difference. Start by turning
off electric devices when your done with them
(because it also costs lots of money to keep them
on all day!) and try using the three R’s
(Reduce, Reuse, Recycle). Instead of driving to
school, walk or cycle. If you live far away from
school, at least drive closer to school and walk
from there, or you could even get the bus! Maybe
you could buy an electric car if you want to.
Recycling rain water and having a two minute
shower is another way of preventing this. Stop
printing. If everybody on earth did all this, climate
change would never be an issue!!!
