    • The Schools and Libraries Program of the Universal Service Fund
    • Provides discounts to assist most schools and libraries in the United States to obtain affordable telecommunications and Internet access.
  • 4. Who is eligible for E-Rate?
    • Schools must meet the following requirements
      • Must provide elementary or secondary education
      • May be public or private
      • Must operate as non-profit
      • Cannot have an endowment exceeding $50 million
  • 5. How much can E-Rate save Klein ISD?
    • Depending on the level of poverty and the urban/rural status of the population served, E-Rate can save a school between 20% and 90% of the costs of eligible services.
    • Primary measure for determining discounts is the percentage of students eligible for free and reduced lunch.

    • Goal 1: Implement teaching and learning strategies that incorporate 21 st century tools, context and content.
    • Goal 2: Implement and sustain a high quality, on-going, systemic, job-embedded professional development program for all staff.
