Doctor Who
Doctor Who 
In BBC’s hit show Doctor Who, a humanoid 
alien known as the Doctor, is able to travel 
through time and space to be the “savior of the 
universe”. The Doctor has many faces due to his 
ability to regenerate when ever he comes close 
to death.

Astrakhan 
The 1st Doctor wore this famous wool hat 
recognized by its promenade two points.
Stovepipe 
The stovepipe hat was the 2nd Doctor’s 
hat of choice. This hat is very similar to a top 
hat but much taller. Abraham Lincoln is 
one of the other 
famous wears of 
the stovepipe.
Trilby 
The 3rd Doctor wore a trilby. The trilby can be 
identified by its angled front brim and upturned 
back brim. The trilby is similar to a fedora 
but tend to have an 
over all bolder 
design.
Wide Brim Fedora 
The 4th Doctor was known for his wide brim 
fedora. A fedora is very similar to a trilby 
except it has a wider brim.
Foldable Panama 
The 5th Doctor was known for his signature 
foldable panama. Panama hats are 
traditionally made out of straw.
No Hat 
The 6th Doctor sadly did not have a signature 
hat.
Panama 
The 7th Doctor just like the 5th wore a 
panama but unlike the 5th Doctor his was a 
traditional panama.
Stetson 
The TV version of the 8th Doctor never wore a 
hat but his comic book counterpart wore a 
Stetson. These hats can be made from either 
straw or fur felt.
No Hat 
The 9th Doctor never once wore a hat.
Straw Cowboy 
The straw cowboy hat was donned by the 
10th Doctor after a day at the beach.
Fez 
The 11th Doctor was known for his signature 
fez as well as his overall fondness of all hats.
No Hat? 
So far the 12th and present Doctor has yet to 
wear a hat. We are eager to see if he will wear 
any in the future episodes.
