  • 2. The following section summarizes MediaMind placement types and associated ad formats. A placement type includes one or more ad formats commonto the placement type. When a placement is created, the placement type is selected and according to the selection, only specific ad formats can beincluded in the placement. Inside each placement different ad formats belonging to this placement type can be served in rotation, for example: a PoliteBanner and an Expandable Banner.DisclaimerYou must check the publishers specifications when publishing your ad. The limitations listed below are just to indicate the maximum ability thatMediaMind allows when uploading ads. The publisher file size limitations may outweigh MediaMinds file size limitations.In-Banner Ad Format Banner Description Maximum File Size Custom Additional Smart Interactions Assets Versioning (for creative agencies to create ads) Expandable An Expandable Banner is Max ad size </= 10 MB Banner an ad that starts in a Default Image </= 70 KB banner space and then either automatically or upon Banner </= 70KB user initiation, expands Panel </= 10 MB outside of the banner. The expansion can be a panel Additional Assets </= 10 MB appearing adjacent to the banner, or a free-floating layer. The Expandable Banner ad contains at least three elements: a default GIF banner, a default Flash banner, and at least one panel (the expansion Flash file).

Default Banner </= 40KB After the page loads, a Rich Banner </= 110 KB heavier Flash asset loads and replaces the original light version. For the Enhanced Standard Banner, the heavier Flash asset allows the ad to be more interactive without violating the sites in-page file size limitation for standard rich media ads.Expandable Strip An Expandable Strip is a Max ad size </= 10 MB banner ad that can either Default Image </= 60 KB include a strip or is fully a strip that displays part of Banner </= 80KB the video or animation. The expansion can be from the center or in any direction as defined in the ad setup.

The heavier Flash asset is used to allow the ad to be more interactive without violating the site’s in-page file size limitation for standard rich media banner ads. A Polite Banner never leaves or expands out of the banner space that it is served into.Popup Banner A Popup Banner ad Max ad size </= 110 KB consists of GIF or Flash file Default Image </= 110 KB that pops over or under a page. Banner </= 110KBPushdown Banner A Pushdown Banner is an Max ad size </= 10 MB ad that starts in a banner Default Image </= 70 KB space and then either automatically or upon user- Banner </= 70KB initiation, expands outside Panel </= 10 MB of the banner by pushing the content immediately Additional Assets </= 10 MB below the ad downwards. This provides for a less intrusive ad experience, as the original page is not covered over by the ad, only pushed downwards. The expansion of the original ad appears as panels opening one at a time below the banner.
