Year B: 4th Sunday Advent (Luke 1:26-38) - Presentation Transcript
Luke 1:26-38
"Let it be done unto me according to your word."
By making her the Mother of Jesus, God made Mary a channel of grace to others.
Even if it meant difficulties and uncertainties, Mary said "yes" to God.
Mary is a model of total & unqualified submission to God’s will.
Mary said "yes" not because she wanted glory, but only because she desired to do God's will.
Mary made herself available to God and that is exactly what God wants of us.
Like Mary, we must be wholly obedient to the Father.
Like Mary, we must always be open and willing to do God's will.
Like Mary, we must become channels of God's grace to other people.
