Mark 1: 1-8

John the Baptist preached a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.

REPENTANCE = the turning away from sin to total obedience to God.

How can we prepare the way of the Lord and make his paths straight?

By undergoing a complete “change of heart”.

By loving unselfishly and giving generously.

By living righteous lives towards one another and towards God.

By responding to the poor and needy with acts of kindness and charity.
