  2. 2. Introduction <ul><li>The FASTER e-Grades System, which stands for Fast Automated System for Teacher Evaluation and Ratings , is a system to automate the task of grading and ranking. It is an innovative, yet inexpensive program that allows a teacher to do away with manual computation of grades. </li></ul>
  3. 3. <ul><li>Instead, the program does all the computations on behalf of the teacher, and does faster and more accurately. The program also creates a database that allows school administrators to review the performance of their students and implement necessary strategies for improvement. </li></ul>
  4. 4. Brief History of the Project <ul><li>Rizal Congressman Michael John “Jack” Duavit has always been guided by the philosophy that access to quality public education is a basic right . Every child deserves first-rate education to enable him to fulfill his potential and contribute to society. </li></ul>
  5. 5. <ul><li>In accordance with this mission, Congressman Duavit has implemented programs to provide teachers with the necessary tools to help them in their task. The FASTER e-Grades system is one such program. Implemented in cooperation with the Guronasyon Foundation, Inc., the Department of Education Rizal and the Province of Rizal, </li></ul>
  6. 6. <ul><li>the FASTER e-Grades system is an automated grading program that enables teachers to record and rank student assignments, and review student performance by subject, section or year. By using this program, teachers can spend less time on the mechanical task of grading and reporting and instead focus on teaching. </li></ul>
  7. 7. <ul><li>This system streamlines the task of grading students, and allows teachers more time to address the primary challenge of teaching profession: </li></ul><ul><li>Teaching our children the right disciplines using the right methods. </li></ul><ul><li>With this tool, teachers can focus on the basics of teaching so that the children can develop a love of learning and eventually use what they have learned in the service of the nation. </li></ul>
