When it began to snow and the rivers froze over, they traveled using snow shoes and used wooden toboggans to transport cargo<br />Traded furs with the French<br />

Paul Le Jeune<br />Father Paul Le Jeune followed The Montagnais on their search for game<br />Goal was to learn their language and customs better, while also try to rid them of their superstitions and convert them to Christianity<br />Unfortunately, the Natives were more entertained by the Father’s beliefs and strange ways rather that interested in converting<br />Le Jeune had to endure man hardships, including harsh climate, freezing temperatures, and having to carry a lot of cargo on his journey<br />
