  4. 4. Celebrate our common purpose</li></li></ul><li>“One-Liners” <br />As long as you don’t change anything, I’m flexible.<br />It’s easier to ride a horse in the direction that it’s facing.<br />Leading and managing change in schools is like changing a tire while the car is moving.<br />
  5. 5. More “One-Liners”<br />Change always involves risk. You can’t keep one foot on first base and steal second.<br />People seem to be more resistant to the process of change than they are to the change itself. <br />
  6. 6. Even More “One-Liners<br />Past experience should be a guidepost, not a hitching post.<br />Remember, change is a process, not an event.<br />To grow is to change, and to become perfect is to change many times.<br />
  7. 7. There’s still more…<br />We’re not where we should be, we’re not where we’re going to be, but thank goodness we’re not where we use to be!<br />You don’t have to be sick to get better.<br />
