  • 4. Elizabeth and  John Proctor: "It's winter in here yet"
  • 5. Cheever with a warrant for Elizabeth Proctor's arrest.
  • 6. Hathorne and Danforth: "This is contempt of court, Mr. Danforth!"
  • 7. Mary Warren with Danforth:  “You cannot lightly say you lied, Mary.  Do you know that?"
  • 8. Mary Warren and the Court: “I --- cannot faint now, sir."
  • 9. Abigail, Danforth, and Proctor:  "I have known her, sir."
  • 10. Elizabeth after realizing her error in denying John's affair:  "Oh, God!"
  • 11. Proctor before Danforth:  "I hear the boot of Lucifer, I see his filthy face!  and it is my face, and yours, Danforth!"
