  2. 2. <ul><li>Why?????????? </li></ul><ul><li>Change should not done for the sake of change. </li></ul><ul><li>But, It is a strategy to accomplish some overall goal. </li></ul><ul><li>Change either due to: </li></ul><ul><li>Opportunity. </li></ul><ul><li>Problem. </li></ul>
  3. 3. <ul><li>Barriers of Change: </li></ul><ul><li>Perception Barriers: </li></ul><ul><li>Stereotypes in analysis: We see what we expect to see. </li></ul><ul><li>Difficulties to identify the real cause of the problem. </li></ul><ul><li>Too narrow scope of the problem and focus on particular aspects only. (incomplete information). </li></ul>
  4. 4. <ul><li>Barriers of Change: </li></ul><ul><li>Emotional Barriers: </li></ul><ul><li>Risk-aversion: fear to fail or to make mistake. People are afraid of the unknown. </li></ul><ul><li>Normally people find it much easier to come up with reasons for rejecting an idea than with reasons than supporting new idea . </li></ul><ul><li>Not taking time for thinking: people feel under pressure to deliver results quickly. </li></ul>

  6. 6. <ul><li>Barriers of Change: </li></ul><ul><li>Environmental Barriers: </li></ul><ul><li>Change move out of the comfort zone. </li></ul><ul><li>Lack of ability to accept criticism . </li></ul><ul><li>Lack of ability to listen to suggestion and appreciate good ideas </li></ul>

  8. 8. <ul><li>Make it happen: </li></ul><ul><li>Understand the need for change: </li></ul><ul><li>Know why do you make the change? </li></ul><ul><li>What goal(s) do you hope to accomplish? </li></ul><ul><li>Ask-Listen-Understand-Consult………… </li></ul><ul><li>Review past change efforts (Success & Failure) </li></ul><ul><li>Remove the barriers. </li></ul>
  9. 9. <ul><li>Make it happen: </li></ul><ul><li>Plan the change: </li></ul><ul><li>How do you plan to reach the goals? </li></ul><ul><li>What will you need to reach the goals? </li></ul><ul><li>How long might it take? </li></ul><ul><li>How will you know when you’ve reached your goals or not? </li></ul>
