Aims of the Fragment: <ul><li>Developing reading skills (scanning) </li></ul><ul><li>Developing speaking skills (discussing in pairs) </li></ul><ul><li>Developing writing skills ( creating their own text – poem) </li></ul><ul><li>Developing study skills (creating a cluster) </li></ul><ul><li>Developing actor’s skills (role play) </li></ul><ul><li>Creating a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere in the classroom. </li></ul>
  5. 5. 1 . Тематический настрой. <ul><li>Every person in the World wants to be strong, clever and, of course, happy! </li></ul><ul><li>Are you strong? Are you happy in your life? What makes you strong and happy? </li></ul><ul><li>Now, lets subdivide in pairs. You will be given sheets of paper and your task is to create a cluster, which will illustrate different ways to be strong, clever and happy. You are given 5 minutes. </li></ul>

You can see several people, they are different, they have different jobs, friends and hobbies, but they all are eager to be happy, strong and smart. </li></ul><ul><li>Now, looking at the pictures on the blackboard, discuss in pairs what makes these people happy, strong and smart and be ready to share your opinions with your classmates. </li></ul>

You know perfectly well, that in order to be strong some people do exercises, to be smart – they go to the library, to be happy – they love their friends and relatives, have hobbies, meet with interesting people and so on. </li></ul>

Реконструкция МТ. <ul><li>What is the text about? </li></ul><ul><li>Have you understood everything? </li></ul><ul><li>Do you want to follow these pieces of advice? </li></ul><ul><li>What do you think, is it important to love people around in order to be happy? </li></ul><ul><li>Did you guess the meaning of the words Should and Must not? </li></ul><ul><li>( students : should means следует, must not – не должен. </li></ul><ul><li>The teacher: yes, right you are! They are modal verbs. ) </li></ul>
  14. 20. 3. Реконструкция МТ. <ul><li>Do you like the model text? </li></ul><ul><li>Now we will change it! ( The teacher ask the Ss to write down different verbs such as to smile, play with a dog, chat with friends, watch documentaries, dance…The verbs that can make a person happy, strong and smart. Then the teacher asks the Ss to change the content of the model - text with the help of the verbs, written on the sheets if paper. </li></ul><ul><li>Ss practice in pairs and they are given 5 minutes . </li></ul>
  15. 21. <ul><li>Who wants to be the speaker and to read the model text out loud? </li></ul><ul><li>One of the students is reading the poem in front of the class. </li></ul>

  17. 23. 5. Креативное письмо. <ul><li>Imagine that we are living in 2060 year…how people will look like in the future? What will they do? I think they will look different in comparison with us, but the only thing I am sure of is that our future generation will be eager to be happy, strong and smart too. Do you agree with me? </li></ul><ul><li>Now let’s write the letters for our future generation and advise them how to be happy. </li></ul><ul><li>( students are creating their own poems ) </li></ul>
