  • 2. How Dogs Became Dogs
    Dogs came from wolves.
    The dog is an animal known in Latin as Canis lupus familiariswhich means The domesticated wolf. The term dog is used for domestic dogs, wild dogs and feral dogs.
    DNA evidence indicates that wolfs originated about 100,000 years ago and dogs split off from the wolf ancestors about 15,000 years ago in Asia. Dogs and man migrated around the world together. Almost every place in the world that you find man you find dogs. Like the saying “A dog is a man’s best friend!”
  • 3. Responsibilities
    Walk the dog everyday depending on the size of the dog. If it is a big dog give it longer walks the small dogs!
    Give it the right food and water.
    Check ups at the vets.
    The love and attention it needs.
    Depending on the dog if you have an apartment you don’t want a big dog. If you live in Alaska you don’t want a hair less dog!

    Among the most intelligent and most loyal dog breeds in the world. Because of their extreme intelligence and strength .

    As part of the Herding group, the German Shepherd is a working dog developed originally for herding sheep on farms.

    The Beagle is a breed of small to medium-sized dog. A member of the Hound Group, it has short legs and long, softer ears. Beagles are scent hounds, developed primarily for tracking hare, rabbits, and other animals.
    They have a keen sense of smell and tracking instinct that sees them employed as detective dogs.
    Beagle-type dogs have existed for over 2,000 years.

    This type of dog has another name called the Lion Dog.
    Country of origin China.
    Small dog with a short muzzle and large eyes they can have short or long hair!
    Drop ears are covered with long fur, and the heavily furred tail has a natural curl to it!
    The coat may be of any color, although a little white on the forehead and tail-tip is mostly seen.
    The long silky coat ,that reaches the floor, requires daily brushing to make sure that tangles are avoided. That is if your dog has really long hair!
    Although the long coat is beautiful, often the coat is clipped short to simplify care, in a "puppy cut".
