Poverty is the lack of basic necessitiesthat all human beings must have:food and water, shelter, education,medical care, security, etc. Relative poverty: needs to live, such as food,sanitation, and health care are met, but just barely. Moderate poverty: live on 1 to 2 dollars per day Extreme poverty: less than 1 dollar per day
CAUSES 1. Natural disasters People lose their homes and their jobs 2. war and civil unrest Destroys farms and businesses Almost 30,000 children under the age of five dieevery day from malnutrition and preventable diseases.That’s one kindergarten class every minute.
SOLUTION If it doesn’t affect you and me, why should we care ? Of the total 6 billion people in the world 3 billionare living in poverty. Put yourself in someone else’s shoes. Donate food that wont spoil to food banks. Donate things you don’t use to charity
