    • What is web 2.0???
      Web 2.0 is the term used to describe the collection of web applications used for interaction and collaboration.
      Web 2.0 was coined by Darcy DiNucci in 1999. It does not refer to a new version of the web, just a refocus of its use.
      Web 2.0 is more than the retrieval of information. It is the participation in a website
    • Web 2.0
      Web 2.0 websites include the following features and techniques:
      Search- finding info through keyword search
      Links- Connects info together
      Authoring- the ability to create
      Tags- categorization of content by users
      Extensions- software
      Signals- RSS feeds

    • Personal web 2.0
      ANIMOTO is a website that creates video from your pictures, video clips and music.
      You upload the photos, video clips and music you want and animoto does the rest- delievering a quality video
      Think of ANIMOTO as a new, better slideshow!
    • ANIMOTO can be used:
      -To make fun videos documenting a birthday party or other event
      • Sent out as a holiday greeting
      • Capture the excitement of a family vacation
      ANIMOTO videos can be sent out or posted on social network sites like Facebook.
    • Educational web 2.0
      Kidblog.org is designed for elementary and middle school teachers who want to provide each student with their own, unique blog. Kidblog's simple, yet powerful tools allow students to publish posts and participate in discussions within a secure classroom blogging community. Teachers maintain complete control over student blogs.
    • Kidblog allows a safe, easy and secure way to give students a voice
      A blog can give students:
      -a voice to express themselves
      -provide an interactive alternative way to complete assignments
      -be used as a way to learn about technology in a controlled environment
    • Business web 2.0
      Google docs isa free web-based word processor, spreadsheet and presentation service, with the applications similar to Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
      Google Docs also serves as an online data storage service.
      Access to Google docs is controlled with a gmail account and free! (Good for small businesses)
    • Google Docs can be used in a business setting to:
      -Allow multiple users access to the same document to collaboratively work on it
      -Serve as a type of FTP site for client retrieval of large documents.
      -Allow workers 24/7 access to documents from multiple locations:
      Work computer, home computer, mobile phone.
