  • 7. Lab Timerhttp://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/labtimer/id292202454?mt=8 Why do I like it? Very handy lab timer, which can run four timers with alarms at the same iPhone time. It times the clicks, and produces cumulative graph.   • 11. iSeismometerhttp://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/iseismometer/id304190739?mt=8 Why do I like it? Makes good use of the iPhone’s accelerometer to give readings iPhone in three axes. Could be used for acceleration labs.   • 12. Simple Radar* Gunhttp://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/simple-radar-gun/id442734303?mt=8 *no, not really. Why do I like it? It’s not really a radar speed gun. Set the known distance and hold the iPhone screen to start the timer. Let go to stop. v = d/t is calculated right away, giving the velocity. Cool. A couple of decent sound-level apps.   • 14. 3D Brainhttp://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/3d-brain/id331399332?mt=8 Why do I like it? A lot of great information about the brain in a nicely-rendered, 3D, rotatable model.   • 15. Gray’s Anatomy – Student Editionhttp://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/grays-anatomy-student-edition/id478710041?mt=8 Why do I like it? Because it is a brilliant set of anatomical drawings! One-click to join the room and take part in class formative assessment tasks, such as quizzes, surveys and space races. Quickly send lab photos to a shared photo to be used by groups or shared via a GoogleSite or blog. No need to plug in the phone. iPhone Different people can contribute photos. I really want…SPARKvue for PASCO Dataloggershttp://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/sparkvue/id361907181?mt=8Is a free app for datalogging, which allows you to collect data from thephone’s internal accelerometer. You can even connect many Pasco probesvia bluetooth, as long as you are prepared to buy an expensive adapter.Apparently the cost is due to the chip required for bluetooth with Apple. 25
