MB RAM running under the Android 2.2

6. Drawbacks
• Aakash tablet heats up quickly.
• 2100mAh battery of the tablet isn’t powerful enough to
provide good power, it lasts up to 3.5 hrs in reading mode
and 3 hrs if running a video.
• Non-availability of inbuilt webcam is another disadvantage.
• Aakash tablet face problems in running heavier
programs/apps, simultaneous running of multiple programs
can be problematic too.
7. • Aakash comes with Android 2.2 but you can’t access Android
marketplace to download new apps and games.
• It has a resolution of 640×480 px which isn’t something most
people would like. Better resolution means better picture
quality.
• An finally, the last and probably the biggest disadvantage of
Aakash tablet is the non-availability of customer care
centers. At present, you can find customer care centers in a
few metro-cities only.
8. Comparison with UbiSlate7+ (Aakash2)
Processor :
• Aakash Tablet is formed of processor with Arm11 at 366 MHz only.
• The upgraded version, Ubislate7+ comes up with the new Cortex A8 at 700
MHz only, which is hugely better than the former one.
Operating System :
• The version of Aakash is supported on Android 2.2 Froyo OS.
• The Ubislate7+ tablet is upgraded with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, the
upgraded version of Android 2.2 plus the significant one for smartphones in
Android.
3G Connectivity :
• 3G connectivity is not available in Aakash tablet.
• Whereas Ubislate7+ has 3G connectivity.
9. Network, SIM, Web and Internet Connectivity (Wi-Fi, GPRS, SIM),
Speed :
• Aakash tablet has only Wi-Fi for web accessibility; GPRS service.
• Ubislate7+ has both the Wi-Fi and GPRS for web accessibility and
internet connectivity. It has SIM and mobile phone service through
which you can sent messages and also make calls.
Battery :
• Aakash tablet has the battery power of 2100 mAh with only 1 hour
back-up.
• UbiSlate7+ has the battery strength of 3200 mAh than the former,
providing 3 hours of battery backup.
