Who Choose the License? • Many early adopters (blogger, tech-savvy) use CC by – they choose to go extreme because they create content mostly for fun. • For the rest, choice of license is partly decided by CC promoter like Creative Commons Thailand Network or Thai Health Promotion Foundation, a funder to the former.

Default License • CC Thailand try to promote CC by-nc-sa as a default license. • Why? – Nc because many content creators / distributers are altruistic: they simply don’t want their work to be used commercially. Some are suspicious of business incentives. – Sa because CC Thailand want to make CC work by itself – a viral way to promote CC adoption

Ported or Unported? • Ported licenses are not yet available (but soon to be). • Most CC unported licenses adopters know that the law enforcement is hardly practical, yet they still use unported licenses just because it shows their good intention and it’s “cool”.
