CC-licensed Projects in Thailand Personal Web Platforms Educational Works • Blogs • Research • School level house • Flickr images • University • Media level publication • Blog platform • Media platform

Personal Works • Mostly Internet power-user, tech- oriented • These early adopters are extensively “networked”. Each has his/her own “people”. • This is how CC was spread and adopted in early days

Web Platforms • Mostly non-profit, non-governmental. • Some of them are CC-licensed because their main funder, Thai Health Promotion Foundation, force CC on them.

Educational • Few has adopt CC • Why? – Educational materials are developed with purpose: a paveway to teacher’s career advancement. Teachers must be able to claim their materials, although they want to spread it at the same time. – Newly-enacted Computer Crime Act forced some CC distributers to adopt login (=restrictive) system in order to collect usage information.

Future Prospect • What is coming? – Blog platform service – Government agencies – Libraries and media repositories – Video platform
