Comenius proyect: Natural Parks Net in the School.

Comenius proyect began one year ago and it will finish next summer in Spain
Natural Parks Net in the School

In our high school, we work Comenius proyect closed to a subject named “Biology and Geology advance”.

Along first year, we had been studding Castilla y León Natural Parks and theirs ecosystem.

This year we will try to connect common elements between different natural parks from Finland, Germany, Check Republic and Spain.

In summary, we have three objectives:
The climate change
Fauna y flora protect
Use of natural park for men

Along the last glacial age, the most part of Europe was cover with ice. Only south Europe was free of ice. In these region, they were all ecosystem that today, we can see in Europe.

From ten thousand years, the medium temperature has been raising until 18º C. This has leaded to thaw of glaciers.

Showing photografs of natural parks we will try to answers the following questions:
How can we identifity a glacier where nowadays there aren´t?
Why are there glaciers in Austria and there aren´t in Finland?
Do flow rivers depend only of the rain or also from glaciers ?

In biology we say “plants follow the climate and animals follow plants” Along disappear of glaciers, ecosystem placed in the southern advanced to the northern, leaving little marks in their origin place.

These marks have got the same ecosystem with the same animals and plants

Our questions are: Will it happen the same with fauna and flora than with glaciers?

Are we seeing last owl over Spain, Check Republic, Germany ....?

Will it be there more mediterranean element in the Finish and German flora and fauna?

At the end we will learn to answer questions about of management of the forest:
Do we exploit forest in the same way?

Do we fight against forest illnesses in the same way?

Do we enjoy of forest in the same way?

We hope to answer all this questions with your help and then we will say “Together we work and together we learn”
