    The use of technology is changing the way of teaching.

    There are 7 different types of nouns:
    1. proper noun
    2. common noun
    3. concrete noun
    4. abstract noun
    5. countable noun
    6. non-countable noun
    7. collective noun
    *Today we are only going to study common nouns and proper nouns

    Proper nouns
    • A proper noun represents the name of a specific person, place, or thing.
    • 12. You always write a proper noun with a capital letter.
    • 13. The days of the week and months are also proper nouns.

    Examples of proper nouns
    • specific person:
    • 14. Carlos and José are my friends.
    • 15. place:
    • 16. My family and I are living in Puerto Rico.
    • 17. thing:
    • 18. My favorite cookies are Oreo.

    • 19. I am going to the theater on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
    • 20. months:
    • 21. My sister was born on November 7th.

    • A common noun is a noun referring to a person, place, or thing in general.
    • 22. It is not capitalized, unless it is at the beginning of a sentence.
