  • 1. Technology. The sum of the ways in which social groups provide themselves with the material objects of their civilization.
  • 2. In the 1930’s automobiles were very sufficient and considered the nations symbol of leisure and convenience. During this time gas prices were at an estimated 17 cents per gallon. Cars took on a more aerodynamic design and new innovations were introduced including: synchromesh transmissions, automatic chokes, and hydraulic brakes to improve mechanical quality.
