INTRODUCTION <ul><li>This project was worked on by Jenna Froland, Matty Novick, and Charlotte Klein </li></ul><ul><li>We chose to do Lion King because we wrote “Fractured Fairytales” in English and this was our favorite fairytale </li></ul><ul><li>This is a power point is about the Lion King characters and the story. Read carefully– you will be quizzed at the end! </li></ul>
Characters <ul><li>SIMBA: Simba is a young cub who is Mufasa’s son. Someday Simba will be king. </li></ul><ul><li>MUFASA: Mufasa is king of the jungle and is killed by his evil brother, Scar. </li></ul><ul><li>SCAR: Scar is the brother of Mufasa who is jealous that he is not king so he kills his brother and also tries to kill Simba but fails. </li></ul><ul><li>HYENAS: The hyenas work for Scar, but leave him when they figure out he killed Mufasa. </li></ul><ul><li>NALA: Nala is Simba’s friend who ends up marrying him. </li></ul><ul><li>SARABI: Sarabi is Simba’s mother. </li></ul><ul><li>TIMONE AND PUMBA: Simone is a meerkat and Pumba is warthog, who befriend Simba and take care of him. They show him their life of eating bugs and relaxing by the waterfall. The most famous saying by them is “HAKUNA MATATA” which means no worries! </li></ul><ul><li>RAFIKI: Rafiki is a old baboon. He is the ‘medicine man’. He is the wisest of the jungle. </li></ul><ul><li>ZAZU: Zazu is the king’s advisor who sometimes asked to babysit Nala and Simba. </li></ul>
THE STORY The story of the Lion King is Mufasa is king. Simba is his son and longs to be king someday. Mufasa’s evil brother Scar is jealous of his position as king so he kills Mufasa. He tells Simba to RUN! AND NEVER COME BACK! Simba lives with Timone and Pumba for a while until he has an encounter with his childhood friend Nala. By now, they are both fully grown up. Nala tells Simba to come back and save the Kingdom of Prideland! (WE WON’T SPOIL THE ENDING FOR YOU)
