Citadel100 designs all our Datacenter with the most resilient power engineering in all our systems so that no Single Point of Failure exists. The Citadel100 Datacentres are backed up by N+1 diesel driven generators. Citadel100’s innovatively designed power system incorporates the following features:

PPM is conducted by the highly specialised Citadel100 Datacenter Technicians providing ongoing and immediate support for clients and for ensuring the regular and continuous monitoring and maintenance of the critical and essential elements of the building. The support team is also responsible for strict documentation management in relation to all mechanical and electrical systems, in keeping with the strict requirements of ISO 9000.
A data centre has thousands of electrical connections ranging from 3,200 amp switchboard joints to 16 amp commando sockets.
At Citadel, we take thermal images of all power connections in the building over a 12-month period.
This pro-active maintenance is vital to keeping 100% power in a data centre and gives massive reassurance to our customers.
Citadel enjoys the patronage of many world profile names and, with such a customer base, has committed to power densities of over 2 kWatts per square metre.
While the current trend in data centres is about Power Utilisation Efficiency (PUE), the essence of a data centre is availability .
Citadel guarantees a 100% power to customer data halls supported in an N + N resilient configuration and this design, by definition, cannot give the best efficiency as there is always 2 active systems.
We have responded to this challenge by negotiating and purchasing all our utility power from a Green Energy Supplier who guarantees that a minimum 79% of the power they supply is from renewable sources.
Citadel is very proud to be able to offer a quality product with the minimum environmental impact.
By switching to Green Energy, Citadel save the emissions of 30,000 tonnes of CO2 per annum, which is the equivalent of taking 5,500 standard cars off our roads.
Power strategy All top tier data centres are resiliently designed and offer to stay on line for 99.999% of the time by using an N + N power support configuration. Citadel 100 is unique in guaranteeing 100% power to the data halls by utilising a design that is not just resilient but also has no single points of failure and is easy to maintain. At Citadel we have developed separate power systems so that we can test any one module without impacting the rest of the site. Most importantly, these tests give our customers that extra confidence in our ability to keep their business always on-line.

Customers and operators alike require detailed and accurate environmental information.
However, inaccurate information is worse than no information .
Citadel sensing devices are validated bi-annually to ensure accuracy.
This validation is carried out in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025
