    • Isabella began as queen of Castille, but then she married Ferdinand of Aragón, so there were two countries to rule so they ruled both lands together.

    • Isabella I was born on April 22, 1451. 
    • She died on November 26, 1504 from a coma.

    • Her youngest brother was the excepted heir instead of her other brother who did get the throne.

    • Queen Isabella’s father was John the second.
    • Her mother’s name was Isabella of Portugal.

    • Isabella was a very powerful queen.
    • She ruled for 50 years.

    • Isabella’s brother took over after their father died in 1454.
    • Isabella was only 3 years old at the time

    • In 1492 she was asked by Christopher Columbus to give money to him for his voyage to discover new things in a new land.

    • At the age of three she was betrothed to Ferdinand of Arigon it was her father’s decision to pick who she would marry.

    • Her brother Alfonso the king died on July 5,1468. People thought he was poisoned so he would not be king.
    • Isabella was 17 when she said she would refuse the opportunity to become Queen if it was offered unless her brother died ,and it was offered.

    • He was furious at her because she wanted to marry a man he didn’t command her to. He threatened to throw her in the dungeons.

    • Her brother was mad but Ferdinand was also an heir to another place called Arogon so he didn’t do any thing knowing he’d get more power.

    • But sadly Joanna Juana la Loca,one of her daughters was mentally challenged
