    How to write broadcast scripts
    Typically 100-300 words
    Should double or triple spaced -for easy reading
    Broadcast news story structure

    30 seconds is approximately 8 lines (double spaced), 10 words per line
    100 words (spoken) is approximately 30 seconds

    Spirit Week 2010 gave students a chance to show their school spirit. The week ended with pep rally where students had the opportunity to show case their talents and Bengal Pride.

    Spirit Week took place January 19-22. On Tuesday, students kicked it off with decade day.

    The Shriner Shine Run has many opportunities for community service hours, and provides you and your friends a chance to just have fun at the park. Everyone is encourged to participate.
    In other news: Volunteers are needed for the Reedy River Run on March 1- 6. Volunteers will be needed to help with registrations, course monitors, and other various things. See Ms. Belt to sign up.

    The 2010 Beta Club convention went very well. Students competed in various competitions, and for the first time… Brashier Middle College placed in the competitions. It is the first time BMC has placed at the state level.

    Often we take water for granted. We have easy access to clean drinking water, there are many people who don’t. The MCNC Ambassadors are raising money to refurbish a well in Liberia. In Liberia, the women often have to walk close to 3 miles with 5 gallons of water just for necessities.
