Survey Results Ppt 2007 - Presentation Transcript

    1. Present the
      Survey on Voter’s Preferences
      for the 2010 Elections
    2. BACKGROUNDER
Considering that 2010 is an election year, the Kalinga Media Club (KAMEC), the Department of Interior and Local Government, and Liga ng mga Barangays have resolved to conduct a survey to sample the perceptions of the voting public, as well as project their behavior this coming election period.
    3. This survey principally aims to describe voting behavior, views and opinions of the Kalinga electorate in various election processes and election practices.
    4. Population of the survey
      TOTAL Number of Respondents: 1664

    6. Description of Respondents
    7. Questionnaire Proper
    8. The trend clearly indicates that the voting public has a good grasp on election laws – with the greatest gap exhibited by their responses to Provision 4 which covers the acceptance of money in exchange of votes. Conversely, they are most ignorant on Provision 1 which designates poster areas acceptable to COMELEC.

    9. These results are a clear forecast of the people’s voting behavior next year – short of saying that a percentage of the voting public is already looking forward to the reception of money.
      • Will you accept money
      this 2010 elections?

      • While the survey reflects the perception of the responding individuals, it is not conclusive – although it gives us a glimpse of how voters may decide next year, and at the same time providing prospective candidates a gateway to direct their future campaign activities into areas where they may be lagging behind.
      • Still, this survey was conducted with the hope of instilling the election atmosphere into the consciousness of the voting public – thus creating in them a sense of being more cautious in their future choices.
    26. Thank you!
