  • Objectives
    • After completing this presentation, you will be able to:
      • Run the slide show
      • Create and edit custom shows
      • Add function buttons
      • Apply animation
      • Create transition effects
      • Print the presentation
  • Running the Slide Show
    • To run the slide show:
      • Follow the menu path View  Slide Show .
      • To start the slide show from the current slide click the icon present at the bottom of the outline window.
    • To proceed to the next slide in the slide show press [ Enter ]. To go a particular slide, right-click the slide show, point to Go to Slide and click the relevant slide.
    • To view the notes, right-click and click Speaker Notes .
    • To return to the presentation press [ ESC ].
  • Creating Custom Slide Show
    • To create custom slide show:
    • Follow the menu path Slide Show  Custom Slide Show .
    • Click New.
    • In the Define Custom Show dialog, enter the Slide show name .
    • From the slides listed under Slides in presentation add files to Slides in custom show .
    • To reorder slides, highlight the slide and click the up and down arrows.
    • Click OK when finished.
    • Click the Show button in the Custom Shows dialog to preview the custom slide show.
    • Click Close to exit.
  • Editing Custom Slide Show
    • To edit a custom slide show:
      • Follow the menu path Slide Show  Custom Slide Show .
      • Click one of the Custom Shows and click Edit.
      • Click Close to exit.
    • To delete a show, select the show and click Remove .
    • Click Copy to create a copy of a show. You can rename by clicking the Edit... button.
    • Click the Show button to preview the custom slide show and click Close to exit.
  • Adding Function Buttons
    • To add function buttons:
    • Follow the menu path Slide Show  Action Buttons . Click the bar and drag it off the menu so it becomes a floating toolbar.
    • Click a button and draw on the slide. The Action Settings dialog appears.
    • Set the actions under either the Mouse Click or Mouse Over tabs.
    • Click OK when finished. Resize the button on the slide using the white box handles and the depth by dragging the yellow diamond.
  • Applying Animation
    • To animate the slide objects:
    • Go to the menu Slide Show and click Custom Animation .
    • From the Check to animate slide objects list select the objects to be animated.
    • From the Effects tab, select the animation type, direction, and sound.
    • Select an After animation effect if the text should change colors after the animation.
    • From the Introduce text choose the style for displaying text
  • Applying Animation (cont’d)
    • Go to the Order & Timing tab to change the order in which the objects appear on the slide.
    • Select the object from the Animation order list and click the Move arrows to rearrange the sequence.
    • Choose an option for starting the animation.
    • Click Preview to preview the animation on the slide and click OK .
  • Previewing Animation
    • To preview the animation:
    • Follow the path Slide Show  Animation Preview .
    • Click anywhere in this window to preview the animations.
  • Transitioning Slides
    • To add transition effects:
    • Go to the menu Slide Show and click Slide Transition .
    • Choose an Effect and speed for the transition.
    • Under Advance choose an option, either On mouse click or Automatically , for slide transition.
    • Select a Sound and to repeat the same sound till another one is played, select the option Loop until next sound .
    • Click Apply to add the effect to the current slide and Apply to All to add the effects to all the slides in the presentation.
  • Setting Slide Show Options
    • To set the slide show options:
    • Follow the menu path Tools  Options .
    • Go to the View tab.
    • Select the required options.
  • Setting the Page
    • To set up the page for printing:
    • Follow the menu path File  Page Setup .
    • From the Slides used for drop down list choose the format the printed slides will be used for or enter the specific Width and Height .
    • Choose an Orientation and click OK .
  • Printing the Presentation
    • To print the presentation:
    • Follow the menu path File  Print .
    • Set the Print range .
    • Specify the Number of copies to be printed.
    • From the Print what drop down list choose the required option.
    • Click OK to print.
