Scientists are hoping to gather enough information to bring a dinosaur back to life. Using new technology, you will be sent back in time to gather information about which dinosaur would be the best choice to bring back to life for the public.. Your team of researchers is in charge of gathering information about a dinosaur and putting together a presentation to convince the scientists to choose your dinosaur. For safety's sake, we are only going to research herbivores, or plant eaters.

  8. 8. Introduction (Teacher) [ Student Page ] Title Introduction Learners Standards Process Resources Credits Teacher Page This lesson was developed as a class assignment at Colorado State University for a class called Educational Technology and Assessment. The purpose of this activity is to give students a more in depth knowledge about dinosaurs. In this lesson, groups of students work together researching and preparing a presentation about a specific dinosaur. They will research and answer the questions given to them. Then, they will present their findings to the class and try to convince the Dinosaur Park scientists to choose their dinosaur. Evaluation Teacher Script Conclusion
  9. 9. Learners (Teacher) [ Student Page ] Title Introduction Learners Standards Process Resources Credits Teacher Page This activity is anchored in second grade history but also involves technology integration and English to a lesser extent. This lesson can easily be tailored to a third grade classroom by making the requirements slightly harder. Learners will need to have a general knowledge of some dinosaurs and know the difference between meat-eaters and plant-eaters. Evaluation Teacher Script Conclusion
