Masthead– anchors the text to the genre of teen magazine
Taglines – incite and generate hype about the magazine in order to urge the audience to buy the product.
Media Language…

The colors used - appeals to the target audience, the kind of colors they like and are attracted to. E.g. Pinks/purples for girls.
Images – main image a mid length close up. Idealistic image of famous celebrity or model - represents the self for the reader, Sense of personal identity and relationship.
Freebies - on the cover of the magazine, bonus with the magazine. Appeals to target audience as they are price sensitive and therefore would value the freebie.
