He will decide the norms for distribution of benefits out of business . </li></ul>
  9. 9. Socialistic approach <ul><li>This refers mostly to the govt. bodies which takes responsibility of business & industry to work under their control. Benefit out of business is distributed as per human needs and losses are form by the govt. </li></ul>
  10. 10. Theory of growth <ul><li>Here privates parties / public entrepreneurs plays major role. Transparency is key to daily activities. Gain out of growth is shared by all partners’ bases on level of participation. Thus no growth situation creates panic environment as it hits the basic root of survival. </li></ul>

Prosperity through Productivity <ul><li>Theory of growth in present context reflects true picture of prosperity, because all concerned are directly motivated to put all out efforts for growth of economy. Growth can be affected by increase in the volume of input or by increase in productivity. </li></ul>

Production is process of combining various immaterial & material inputs of production so as to meet the need of consumption. The method of combining inputs of production in the process of making out put is known as technology. The relationship between and input in a production function is the reflection of Technology which ultimately affects productivity. </li></ul>
  13. 13. Prosperity through Productivity <ul><li>The characteristics of growth where relationship between out put and input remain unchanged, does not represent productivity. The growth in out put corresponding to a shift of production function is generated by increase in productivity and reduction in wastage. Productivity is created in the real process, productivity gains are distributed in the income distribution process and these two process constitute the production process prosperity comes through income distribution process which is part and parcel of productivity. Thus- Less resources are consumed and less waste is generated. </li></ul>

Prosperity through Productivity <ul><ul><li>This has long lasting effect on future, where resources are carried forward either to enhance the quality of life or preserved for the future generation. </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Generation of less waste causes less hazards to environment and future generation will have to faces lesser consequences on this account. </li></ul><ul><li>The employer gains due to reduction in cost of resources employed increase in profitability, consumer gain on purchase prices and Employee gets better emoluments adding to the prosperity of one & all. </li></ul>

Enhancing productivity is the primary means of raising prosperity. In turn, gains in productivity are dependent on competitiveness. An overarching objective of Prosperity through Productivity is to examine the notion of competitiveness from the perspective of a country, a region, a business and an individual. The roles of individual initiative, business strategy and economic development policies in maximizing productivity and ultimately prosperity calls for recasting to fully tap the dormant potentials for productivity improvement. </li></ul>

  17. 17. Prosperity through Productivity <ul><li>Productivity is the key to Prosperity, which in turn is an indicator of a country’s potential for economic growth in the short to medium term. Changes in the nature pelting along to catch economic growth reflect the grab for prosperity. </li></ul>

These concepts have come to acquire greater significance in the current context of changed economic environment. The increasing market-orientation and private sector development have thrown up a number of new challenges. In fact, it is influencing the mindset of all the constituents of the society. </li></ul>

Prosperity through Productivity <ul><li>Increasing productivity has to emerge as a new national priority, where the efforts of all converge to accelerate the process of economic growth and raise the standards of living of our people. Our business organizations will have to improve their performance to ensure their survival and growth in a fiercely competitive world. This improvement will come about only if we focus on production of quality goods, in a cost effective manner and by generating enough surpluses to plough back into the business to further improve productivity </li></ul>

Prosperity through Productivity <ul><li>In the midst of fast-paced economic changes that are now revolutionizing the world and hopefully changing it into a better place where advancement and prosperity are enjoyed by all, the policies initiative by counties like India and China has a vital role to play. They will be key driver in the future development of the world economy. </li></ul>
  21. 21. Prosperity through Productivity <ul><li>Every organization has its own distinctive approach towards development. Connecting these initiatives, there should be a commitment to enlarge the scope for new prosperity to expand prosperity and to create environment conducive to Productivity. Productivity may be the outcome of various practices, but eventually is the result of a mindset. Basic to this approach is the conviction that there is no limit to improvement. Even the best can be improved. The crucial ingredient is the preparedness of the human mind to achieve higher and higher productivity levels. Therefore, workers, managers, policy makers and others should be ready to continuously and collectively work for productivity improvement in every economic activity for the prosperity of the society as well as the country. </li></ul>

Prosperity through Productivity <ul><li>“ Prosperity thru Productivity” has therefore, been chosen as the theme for the ‘Productivity Week-2009’ (12th – 18th February 2009) focusing on creating Prosperity through Productivity at a time when Indian economy is facing a series of new challenges in the new world order. </li></ul>
