Students meet with local businesses to discover their requirements for the website. At least 1 of these meetings will be in person, however there may be others conducted via phone, email, texting, etc.
Aside from 1 guest speaker, the teaching techniques used for this project will be constructivist, collaborative and project based learning with students researching requirements & creating the design and website

Communication and Collaboration - Students use digital media and environments to communicate and work collaboratively, including at a distance, to support individual learning and contribute to the learning of others. Students:
a. interact, collaborate, and publish with peers, experts or others employing a variety of digital environments and media.
A. Standard: The student will understand ethical and safety issues related to information use including plagiarism and citing sources, copyright, intellectual freedom, acceptable use of school technologies, privacy, and evaluation of information.
C. Standard: The student will use resources and learn independently and in collaboration with others.
