  • 2. What a Systems Engineer’s job involves on a day to day basis.
    • A Systems Engineer designs computer systems and their components. With help from other technicians, they can also repair and maintain computers. Systems Engineering focuses on how complex engineering projects should be designed and managed. System engineers deal with work processes and tools that help in technical fields. There are several tools that are frequently used by systems engineers, these consist of:
    • Simulation and modelling.
    • Testing and validation.
    • Fault modelling.
    • Interface design and modification.
    • Communications protocol design and specification.
    • Systems engineers need to understand computer hardware and software and hoe network and operating systems function.
  • 3. What qualifications are required for entry and progression in Systems Engineer career
    • Depending on where you are looking for a job as a Systems Engineer, you will find that the experience and qualifications can vary a substantial amount depending on what the role involves. However there are many skills, qualifications and areas of Experience needed when wanting to secure a job as a Systems
    • Engineer, these may include:
    • Degree in Scientific or Engineering discipline.
    • Knowledge of information security
    • Deep understanding of the systems engineering
    • lifecycle.
    • Some organizations would like between 3 to 5 years
    • experience in some aspects such as using windows
    • 2000 server.
    • You can gain many of these things from schooling and experience, so it is very important for a person wanting to pursuer a career such as this that they follow these guidelines.
  • 4. System Engineer career pathway opportunities There are many universities in Australia and around the world that are there to teach students the fundamentals of becoming a systems engineer. A course for example at the Deakin University at the Geelong campus, has a course called bachelor of engineering, which gives students career opportunities such as maximizing the students job prospects, making the student a industry ready engineer, who is immediately employable, and capable of adapting to future change. These courses go for approximately 4 to 5 years, depending where you would like to complete your schooling, there are many other countries that will have career opportunities for people wishing to further their studies in becoming a systems engineer.
  • 5. Possible income range for Systems Engineer The possible income for a Systems engineer is quite high, and can vary a substantial amount between the highest earnings and the lowest earnings. The lowest earnings range between $83,000.00, and the highest ranging from $113,000.00. However the average income is approximately in the median to high $90,000.00. So overall Systems engineers jobs to earn quite a lot of money, depending on their skill level and what job they are able to get to.
