Considered to be one of the fastest-growing market in the world for PR business
There is no commonly shared understanding about the concept of PR
In recent years PR has become a popular subject of academic study in many universities

The international Arab PR
After 9/11 attacks the Arab world suffered from accusations, stereotypes and misconceptions: Arabs and Muslims have been portrayed as initiators of terrorism
Due to this fact most of the international Arab PR promotes anti-terrorism
The image they want to achieve and the communication tools used

Challenges for Arab PR
PR is still seen as tool for organizations to raise their image, but also tool of propaganda
The international Arab PR has failed to market the real image of Islam and Arab world
The relationship and history between Arabs and Americans is complicated
Lack of democracy is one of the biggest challenges

Conclusions
The fields of PR practise and education are growing fast
There are lot of talent and eagerness to develop public relations
The Western idea of PR is not necessarily the right one for the Arab world
There are lots of challenges that need to be solved in the future
