    • animal testing should not be allowed because it’s cruel to the animals and they should not have to go through it.
  3. What is Animal Testing?
    • The use of non-human animals in research
    • and development projects, especially for
    • purposes of determining the safety of
    • substances such as foods or drugs.
  4. How Would You Feel?
    • What if this was your pet dog?
    • Or your cat, or one of your pets?
    • Just because they don’t talk, doesn’t mean that they do not feel pain or get hurt

    • Helps figure out ways for new things
    • Could come in handy when finding out new vaccinates
  12. Similarities: Humans & Lab Animals
    • Behavior can be just as complex
    • Cellular structures, proteins, and genes of humans and animals are similar

    • Reaction to environment
    • Also the conditions the animals are kept
    • Respond differently to substances then humans
    • Effects on animals can be differ from each laboratory

    • Epiocular-a reproducible, multi-layered human cell-derived tissue for testing ocular irritancy of chemicals and other materials.

    • Epiderm-is a reproducible, three-dimensional, human cell-derived skin tissue for studies of corrosives and irritants.
