    • The Technology is about concentrating Solar radiation by tracking the Sun and using the Thermal Energy for different applications:

  • Introduction to Thermal Power Plants
    • A Thermal Power Station is a power plant in which the turbine is run by steam to generate electricity.
    • Steam is generated in the boiler of the thermal power plant using the heat of the fuel burned in the combustion chamber.
    • The steam generated is passed through steam turbine which is connected to the generator which generates the electricity.
    • The steam coming out of the steam turbine is condensed in the condenser and the condensate is supplied back to the boiler with the help of feed pump and the cycle is repeated.

  • Solar Thermal Power Plant
    • Solar parabolic concentrator converts the water in the receiver to steam.
    • Parabolic concentrator composed of many flat mirrors focused at the same point generates steam of more than 450 0 C temperature.
    • After economizer the heated water goes to the evaporator which evaporate the water and converts it in to the steam.
    • Steam after getting superheated runs turbine as per the necessity which is connected to the generator through shaft coupling. Generator is connected to the national grid through transformer.

  • Solar Drinking Water System
      • Drinking water system is one of the best innovations
      • It is blessing for various food based industries, for whom dinking water is a very important component.
      • Impure water is the cause for many diseases in the country like Kidney failure, stones etc
  • How Does it work?
      • The working of the system is very simple.
      • The ground / surface water is passed through a radially outward membrane filter (needs to be replaced twice a year) where all the suspended solids are trapped. It also removes the impurities like Magnesium, calcium salts etc from the water to make it soft.
      • Then the water is heated to temperatures up to by 70 to 90 0 C by Gadhia Solar parabolic technology for 20 to 30 minutes.
      • This makes it germs free and pure drinkable water.

  • Hot Water Application
    • By using Thermo siphon Technology.
    • In Thermo Siphoning Technology, the water is fed through feed water line to the receiver which comes from the storage tank and the outlet of the receiver sends the water back to the storage tank.
      • Unlike flat plate collectors, due to high temperature at the receiver, the thermo siphoning is much faster and there is no blockages in the tubes or freezing of water .
  • Hot Water Application
    • The other technology, where Thermic Fluid is used as media, is more suitable where the temperatures are much lower and temperature difference between available water and desired water is higher.
    • Thermic Fluid is passed through receivers to heat it up to 200 0 C or more.
    • By proper insulation, the water can stay hot for longer time as thermic fluid can store energy.
    • During long non sunny days, the thermic fluid can be heated up using back up system.
  • Solar Space Heating: Solar Space Heating is a very useful application for an area with low climate temperature and very good sun radiation (Ideal for higher altitudes) The concentrators heat up the Thermic fluid in the system. Heat exchangers are used to transfer the heat of thermic fluid to the air and heated air is used for the space heating. It keeps the room temp constant in winter in cold areas. It saves fuel for heating.

  • Solar Incineration
    • With Advance Solar Concentrated Technology, now it is possible to achieve temperatures up to 1200 0 C.
      • The parabolas concentrate the solar radiations in the combustion chamber.
      • Air is blown in the chamber, which keeps the temperature uniform through out the chamber
      • Any kind of waste ranging from Bio to Chemical to municipal can be incinerated in the chamber.

    • How it works?
      • With Advance technology, the system can achieve temperature up to 1500 0 C
      • Which is sufficient for burning human body
      • The system concentrates on a chamber where the body is kept, hot air is blown throw the blower in chamber, which help to acquire uniform temperature across the chamber

  • Solar Air Conditioning and Cold Storage Systems Heating and Cooling constitutes almost 50% of our energy needs. Centralized solar air conditioning and heating systems powered by solar system can substantially reduce the cost of energy bill.
  • How Does It Work?
    • In this system water itself works as a refrigerant and lithium bromide salt solution as an absorbent.
    • Steam of 160 0 C temperature is generated using the parabolic systems.
    • This steam is supplied to traditional VAM system
    • VAM system generates chilled air which can be distributed to various parts of the building according to ducting done as per the requirement of the buyer.

  • Technology:
    • There will be array of parabolas and receivers. One parabola would have around 380 glasses and each parabola will concentrate solar radiation on their individual receivers.
    • The temperature on each receiver will be as high as 1000 0 C. The water to be treated will be sprayed on the receiver where huge amount of water will be evaporated and converted to steam.
    • The steam is sent to a compressor, where it is compressed to up to 2 bar pressure, which will be circulated in sump I and because of temperature difference it will get condensed and send to sump II which is pure re-usable water.
  • Contd.. Technology:
    • The non-evaporated hot water returned from receiver is sent back to sump I, this will increase the temperature in sump I.
    • Sump I is covered with thick magnifying glass, . The evaporated water of sump I will be condensed on the glass pyramid in the form of water droplets which will be sent to sump II.
    • This way we are able to use most of the solar energy twice.
    • So in total more than 50% of the reusable water will be available on each sunny day.
    • There may be more than two sumps for which the treated water will be allowed to settle and filtered.
  • Contd.. Technology:
    • If the waste left out after treatment is non usable and hazardous, it can be dumped in organized land-fill which ensures water, soil and air pollution.
    • If the waste is Non-hazardous then it can be collected, dried and then can be converted to pallets to fire it for thermal energy. If it is un-usable then it can also be send to landfill site.
    • We can also provide Solar Incineration to burn such waste.
  • Solar Process Heat For Various Industrial Applications Technologies are there for providing complete solutions for numerous applications. We understand various applications, which requires energy in different forms by different industries and hence tailor made solutions can be integrated with the current system. Energy required in forms of Hot air, Thermic Fluid, Steam or pressurized hot water for any application.
