What types of equipment are used in Soccer? <ul><li>Shoes- Cleats used on the field for players to be able to run smoothly. </li></ul><ul><li>Fields- Turf, grass. </li></ul><ul><li>Soccer Ball- Made of synthetic leather. (Helps the ball glide) </li></ul><ul><li>Goals- Netted goal posts that stop the ball inside. </li></ul>
How does it help? <ul><li>Cleats- Cleats that soccer players wear help players keep a solid balance on the field and prevent players from slipping. These cleats also help them kick the ball. </li></ul><ul><li>Field/Turf- The turfs used in soccer can be artificial, natural, or a straight up dirt road. (As long as it’s a flat surface) </li></ul>
The history of the Field <ul><li>Soccer was created in the early 1860’s in England and was played usually in the streets of the cities when kids would come home from school and player till the sun came down. </li></ul>
Improving the turf <ul><li>For many years, soccer players have played on grass, concrete, dirt, artificial grass, and even rocky surfaces. </li></ul><ul><li>In order to play a respective game, the field must be completely flat without any obstacles. </li></ul>
The History of Cleats <ul><li>Soccer Cleats have been around since the early 1900s when it was named an official sport. Since then, cleats have been redesigned many times! </li></ul>
Improving Cleats <ul><li>Cleats were once made out of rubber, the spikes would sometimes bend while the players ran up and down the field. </li></ul><ul><li>Cleats now are made out of plastic but with Metal spikes and lead on the bottom of the soles which help give power in the kicks. </li></ul>
Track <ul><li>Tracks fields are made of rubber which are much more soft and durable when it comes to eXtreme running and conditioning. </li></ul>
